| The Lobsterboat and the Lobster fishery are unique and
share an equally rich history here in Maine. The development of the lobsterboat
from the early days of sail and oar to engine-driven models has created
a distinctive type of fishing boat. Built rugged and seaworthy,
the lobsterboat is seen in virtually all Maine harbors, a symbol of our
working watercraft and Maritime heritage. |
Lobsterboats launched from the boatshops along Kennebunk River.

Due to concentration and focus on wooden sailboat building and repair, I am no longer carving half-hull models. Please enjoy this page for the history of the Maine Schooner. Feel free to email if you have questions.
